Day 1 — Thursday October 7 — Depart for Memphis! Pack yer’ suitcase Jethro! Were heading for the land where sweet tea is already sweetened! (welcome dinner)

Day 2 — Friday October 8 — Explore Memphis! Founded in 1819 on the bluffs of the Mississippi River, Memphis grew from a frontier trading post into one of the South’s most important river cities. Its history is shaped by cotton, commerce, and the struggles and achievements of the people who built the city. Today, Memphis is known worldwide for its music, barbecue, civil rights history, and vibrant culture—home to blues, soul, and rock ’n’ roll, while continuing to evolve as a center of transportation, creativity, and Southern hospitality. This morning enjoy a motorcoach tour of the sights and musical history of Memphis. We take a break to see the famous Peabody Ducks make their way from their rooftop coop to their daytime swim spot in the Peabody Hotel lobby fountain! Later we head to Graceland for lunch and a tour of Elvis’ home, museum, car collection, and private airplanes. Return to our downtown hotel in the evening to enjoy a free evening on Beale Street. (breakfast, lunch)

Day 3 — Saturday October 9 — Memphis to Nashville Today we leave sweet Memphis in the rear view mirror and head for Music City USA. Founded in 1779 along the Cumberland River, Nashville grew from the frontier settlement of Fort Nashborough into Tennessee’s capital and a major center of trade, education, and culture. Over time, the city became known worldwide as “Music City,” shaped by gospel, blues, country, and the legendary sounds of the Grand Ole Opry. Today, Nashville blends its rich history with a lively modern spirit, offering famous music venues, Southern cuisine, historic neighborhoods, and a welcoming energy that continues to draw visitors from around the world. (breakfast, lunch).

Day 4 — Sunday October 10 — Explore Nashville! Our day starts with a visit to the Johnny Cash Museum to learn all about this amazing legend of Americana music. Later we have a blast at the famous “Goo Goo Cluster” candy making class. Enjoy making and eating your calories as we hand craft these famous yummies! Next we have lunch at a famous honky tonk in Nashville — the owner has friends in low places! Enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening at Earl Tubbs famous record store or looking for the future country stars of America amongst the buskers and honky tonks! (breakfast, honky tonk lunch)

Day 5 — Monday October 11 — Nashville to the Smokey Mountains As we leave Nashville for the Smoky Mountains, we enjoy two classic Southern institutions! The first is our morning coffee stop at the world famous Buc-cees convenience store and fuel station The great wall of jerky? Too early for a brisket sandwich? It’s a tourist attraction all on it’s own. As we continue our travels toward the Smokies, we stop for lunch at everybody’s favorite hillbilly haunt; Cracker Barrel for lunch! On arrival in Pigeon Forge we stop at a moonshine distillery to fortify ourselves for a big night out, or just a little pillow therapy! Overnight Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. (Breakfast, lunch)

Day 6 — Tuesday October 12 — Dollywood & The Great Smoky Mountain Nation Park Nestled at the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg grew from quiet Appalachian mountain towns into beloved travel destinations. Known for scenic peaks, local crafts, family attractions, and warm mountain hospitality, the area is especially breathtaking in autumn, when brilliant fall foliage paints the Smokies in shades of red, orange, and gold. This morning we enjoy Dolly Parton’s “Dollywood” showcases mountain crafts and traditions and of course great music! In the afternoon we head for a driving tour through the beautiful fall colors in the Smoky Mountain National Park. In the evening, we get ready for a rootin’ tootin’ hoot and holler at Dolly’s Dixie Stampede dinner show. (breakfast, farewell Dinner Show)

Day 7 — Wednesday October 13 — Depart for home One last big breakfast and a few more photos of our beautiful surroundings before heading to the Knoxville Airport and onward flights home.
