Day 1 — Monday March 31 — Depart for Japan! Make your way to your gateway airport. Check-in for our included flight to Tokyo! Our evening flight will give you the best chance for rest and transition to our new time zone. (in flight services)

Day 2 — Tuesday April 1 — Welcome to Tokyo! Kon'nichiwa! (Hello!) Arrive mid-day and transfer to our downtown hotel. Time to freshen up before welcome drinks and our welcome dinner together with new travel companions—"kanpai!" (cheers) (In flight service, welcome dinner)

Day 3 — Wednesday April 2 — Tokyo Sightseeing Let the blossoms begin! We see the sights of the city with cherry blossom hotspots including: Chidorigafuchi Park, Imperial Palace East Garden, Niju Bashi Bridge. Our fun break for lunch will be a traditional sushi conveyor restaurant! In the afternoon we take a bird’s eye view from the Tokyo Skytree Observation Deck—one of the world’s tallest! Evening on your own for soup slurping or exploring our Shinjuku neighborhood of glittering clubs and theaters and all sorts of blinky blinky night life (breakfast, lunch)

Day 4 — Thursday April 3 — Sights & simmer Sights include the magnificent Cherry Trees of Ueno Park, street food sampling at the famous Ameyoko Market, and Nakamise Shopping Avenue. We explore today using the famous subways of Tokyo. (breakfast, cooking class lunch)

Day 5— Friday April 4 — Tokyo to Hakone—the shadow of Mt. Fuji — Today we pack up to make our way on the famous bullet train from Tokyo to Mishima. We explore the beautiful base area of Mount Fuji by mountain railway, gondola, and lake cruise. Have all your batteries charged up for this beautiful scenic day with Mt. Fuji in all our photos! (breakfast)

Day 6 — Saturday April 5 — Mt. Fuji  Today we travel by train halfway up Mt. Fuji to enjoy the fabulous scenery. In the course of our day we visit the Arakurayama Sengen Park for classic photos of Fuji, temples, and blossoms. We also visit Oishi Park on the lake with a visit to the Fuji Lake Kawaguchi Cherry Blossom Festival. Enjoy a fresh seafood dinner together this evening. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 7 — Sunday April 6 — Bullet train to Kyoto Another silky smooth Shinkansen bullet train ride today as we leave the Mount Fuji area and make our way to Kyoto. Sights to include the beautiful golden colored Kinkaku-ji Zen Buddhist temple, and the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine with its thousands of red torii gates. (breakfast)

Day 8 — Monday April 7 — Cherry Blossom Rail & Sail! This morning we enjoy Kyoto’s Arashiyama Bamboo Forest—an amazing, peaceful experience and a delight for photographers. Enjoy a true rail and sail today with a ride on the Sagano Scenic Railway through the cherry blossoms. We return by the scenic Hodu River traditional boat tour. Free evening. (breakfast, lunch)

Day 9 — Tuesday April 8 — Osaka Depart Kyoto today and enjoy a morning tour to include the Osaka Castle, which is one of Japan’s most famous landmarks and which played an important role in the unification of Japan. Tour Osaka by aqua bus (canal cruise). Enjoy some free time in the afternoon in the Shinsaibashi and Dōtonbori  shopping and entertainment districts. (breakfast, farewell dinner)

Day 10 — Wednesday April 9 — Farewell Japan!  A hearty breakfast and we’re off for a swift trip home. (breakfast, in-flight services)
