Our Background
With more than 20 years of experience in worldwide guiding to all corners of the earth, Rail and Sail Vacations specializes in private group travel arrangements for friends and family groups. We have made friends with all of our guide colleagues all over North America and every country in the world that you might care to visit! We would love to share these friendships with you as we welcome you as the newest members of our travel family.

Most any travel company or agent can sell you a great time, but often these travel resellers have never been to the places they are sending you to. We specialize in small group travel to enjoy the best of our worldwide travel finds, and our best friends as your local hosts and guides. We throw away the cookie cutter itinerary and show you the best experiences from all of our travels.
Top Destinations
We have planned and led trips to most everywhere you would like to go first hand! We love to incorporate trains and cruises into our itineraries, but don't limit ourselves to "rail and sail" travel only. From US & Canada National Parks, to Asia, Europe, and Africa, we go EVERYWHERE! Some upcoming destinations including Backyard Railways of Germany, Elephant encounters in Thailand, New Year's Eve in Iceland, and a special Rail and Sail excursion to Alaska up the Pacific Coast!
